NATURE EXPLORERS PARADISE
Staying
at the ranch was one of the highlights of our ride along the Great
Divide Mountain Bike Ride (GDMBR); we had no idea what to
expect staying on a ranch in this remote part of Montana and our
stay was ideal. The cabin was perfect, the location beautiful
and Donna made us feel welcome as if we were family visiting.
A great place to stay overnight on your route or stay a few days -
you can do a not-to-technical mountain biking (off the GDMBR route)
or to spend the day hiking, fishing or just relaxing before moving
on. Hildreth Ranch is a hidden jewel and we highly
recommend you plan on a stay at the Ranch.

No
where else can you travel on top of the Continental Divide for such a
distance of nine miles as you can from the mountains lying next to the
Hildreth Ranch.
Stand
at 9500 feet, with one leg in Montana where the water goes to the
Atlantic and the other leg in Idaho where the water goes to the Pacific,
while enjoying panoramic vistas and abundant wildlife, accessible out
our front door via hiking, biking or driving.
Fish
with the sounds of meadow grass being blown by the breeze.
Where
else can you find everything that the outdoors has to offer buy stepping
out the door? Deer, elk, antelope, moose, song birds, sandhill
cranes, eagles, hawks, and many other animals to be seen in a
pleasant atmosphere.
No
highways with busy motorists zooming by, no urban developments to dull
the experience of tranquility.
Nights
with sounds of creatures serenading rather than vehicles dashing.
Twinkling stars like most have rarely perceived. The mountain air so
refreshing that you want to bottle it up and take it home.
Fish
the two mountain lakes, valley streams, Blue Ribbon Beaverhead
River, Hap Hawkins/Clark Canyon Reservoir or the ranch's own stocked
trout ponds.
Real
Rocky Mountain pristine Montana country. Encounter
nature's virtue. Escape
and be mesmerized to the panoramas and sounds that will delight the
soul. Explore
old homesteads and ghost towns.
Highest
elevation home-based, year-round livestock ranch in Montana, with valley
fields starting at over 7,200 feet and the summer grazing reaching
10,000 feet in elevation.
Last
of four ranches in the valley which stretches 30 miles in length and
reaching further into the Tendoy and Bitterroot Mountain Range
